    IN-PERSON RETREAT

    MAY 14-15, 2025

    ROOTS, REST & RESILIENCE:

A WELLNESS RETREAT FOR BLACK CHANGEMAKERS

This wellness retreat is a sacred space specifically created for Black changemakers- Black-identified individuals who are committed to social justice and community care. Attendees will be welcomed into a nurturing environment where they can relax, rejuvenate and nurture their physical, mental and spiritual well-being while connecting with like-minded individuals and embracing their cultural and ancestral roots.

Group discussions and activities will provide opportunities for cultural expression and healing, reinforcing the strength and vitality present within Black communities. Participants will also benefit from workshops focused on burnout prevention and emotional resilience.

A key component of this retreat is the opportunity to gain wisdom from elders, creating an intergenerational exchange that honors tradition and strenghtens collaborative leadership. We will co-create a welcoming environment where individuals can share experiences, bond, and support one another through thought-provoking conversations, group activities, and communal meals- promoting a sense of togetherness and collective care.

Ultimately, this retreat is a place where Black changemakers can take the time to relax, rejuvenate and celebrate their culture- prioritizing and nurturing their well-being in order to sustain their passion and vigor for equity and social justice.
